Product Details

This beautiful Art Deco Suffragette Paste bracelet is Circa 1920.

The bracelet is made up of fabulous Emerald green Paste stones and pretty pink Paste stones, with sparkling white Paste in-between.

Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the British Suffragette movement in the 19th century and through her efforts won the right for women to vote.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine. Their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!

Give Women Votes - Green is for give, white is for women and violet is for votes.

Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. Green Pastes shine just like Emeralds which are thought to preserve love and symbolise hope.

The bracelet is all set in White Metal and is fitted with a secure safety clasp.

Adorned in lovely Art Deco workmanship.

This is a wonderful bracelet, steeped in history and looks fabulous when worn perfect for a wedding or special occasion!

It weighs 33.2 grams

It measures 7 inches in length x 15mm in width

In excellent condition all round.
